Gianni Basile - Bass

Gianni Basile, or “Gio,” is a founding member of The Righteous and Few, and was originally slotted as thumping bass player of the quintet. After moving home from Ohio, back to Chicago, Gianni immediately enrolled himself in the same audio engineering school as Kyle and Mike. While honing his skills as a bass player and an audio engineer, he was an integral part of the vocal writing process in the first year of the albums inception; writing many of the lyrics and melodies of songs before Gabe joined the group. During the time that Gabe was fronting the group, he gave complete creative control of the lyrical aspects of the music to Gabe, instead focusing on being the bass player. (Although you can hear Gio’s backup vocals on almost all recordings released).

With his teachers guidance, Gio recorded, edited, mixed, and mastered a majority of the first record himself.

His main focus as the bass player are to write parts that, while not overstepping the guitar, are complimentary and complex enough for the listener to enjoy.

UPDATE 2022

WHEW a lot has happened since then. Let me give you the short version … SO… basically Gio is no longer the bass player. After Gabe’s departure in mid 2022, Gio has stepped up to front man duties, while Andy has taken over bass player duties; the band continues on! This doesn’t mean the band has kicked Gabe to the curb however. The band was so moved by Gabe’s vocal performance during the recording of their second Studio album, tentatively titled “A Glitch in the System,” that they decided to continue on with the release as was recorded. Music featuring Gio’s vocals will release when the time is right, but for now, we cherish the music Gabe has given us, and look forward to sharing it with the world.
